Purim falls in the Hebrew calendar on 14 Adar.

  • Purim (translated as "lots”) is a joyous holiday that celebrates the survival of the Jewish people as recorded in the biblical Book of Esther. It is a day of merriment and joy, with festivities for all ages to celebrate.

  • Customs here at Temple Tiferet Shalom include:

    • A funny, musical spiel (play) for adults

    • A Purim carnival for Religious School students

    • Dressing up in costumes
