Rabbi Evan Sheinhait is honored to be the rabbi at Temple Tiferet Shalom, effective January 1, 2023.

Rabbi Evan, as he likes to be called, earned his master's degree in Hebrew Literature from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York in 2018 and received his Rabbinic ordination in 2019. He is also a proud graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, with a Bachelor of Arts in Judaic Studies.

Rabbi Evan is a passionate community builder who celebrates vibrant and meaningful Jewish identity, exploring what Jewish life can and must look like in the 21st century. Throughout his rabbinate, Rabbi Evan has worked with synagogues and Hillels across the east coast and is excited to usher TTS into its next chapter.

Rabbi Evan was raised in Framingham and has strong connections to the city of Peabody, with many family members in our community. In his spare time, Rabbi Evan loves to read mystery novels and children’s books with his son Reuven, travel to new places with his dog Lilith, and cook dishes from around the world with his wife Micaela.
