Welcome to Temple Tiferet Shalom in Peabody, Massachusetts!

Temple Tiferet Shalom is a Reform Jewish congregation affiliated with the Union of Reform Judaism. We are a warm, caring, and inclusive community, a vibrant kehilla (congregation) of Jews by birth, Jews by choice, and interfaith families/couples – welcoming all regardless of race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity and committed to the full inclusion and participation of people with disabilities.
Located about 20 miles north of Boston, our Temple was established on November 1, 2015, after Temple Beth Shalom of Peabody (founded in 1959) and Temple Tifereth Israel of Malden (founded in 1930) consolidated, beautifully blending the respective synagogues' rich minhags (traditions) and cultures into one community

We offer weekly Friday evening and Saturday morning Shabbat services and observe the Jewish Holy Day cycle, led and enhanced by a strong rabbinic and musical experience. We also host numerous specially themed services, such as our Veterans’ Day service or our Pride Shabbat service. Our many annual traditions, like the summer ShaBBQ, Purim Spiel, or congregational Passover seder, encourage community, a feeling of belonging and mishpacha (family). We also participate in many community-wide initiatives, including Peabody's Interfaith Thanksgiving Service, the B'nai B'rith booth at the Topsfield Fair, and the Robert I. Lappin Foundation's programs.

We are proud to offer a dynamic and well-established Pre-School and Religious School that serve the whole North Shore, as they have for decades. Our Pre-School welcomes children ages 15 months through kindergarten throughout the academic year and for summer camp. Our Religious School provides children in kindergarten through seventh grade a positive Jewish education founded in Reform Jewish values and ethics. We also have outstanding Pre-Confirmation and Confirmation programs. Additionally, to cement our children's love of Judaism and to strengthen their bonds to the Temple and one another, we offer programming that brings kids together for social events and volunteer opportunities. At Temple Tiferet Shalom, we honor our tradition and commitment to the Jewish people – here, in Israel, and around the world – through education, innovation, and celebration.
Temple Tiferet Shalom has so much to offer: an active Sisterhood, Brotherhood, Social Action Committee, children's programming, and a calendar full of religious, educational, and social opportunities. Please come join us for a Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat service or a Saturday morning Service, Snack & Study. For our members' convenience, our services are offered both online and remotely on Zoom or StreamSpot, as are many of our programming options. For more information about us, please call our Temple Office at (978)535-2100. We look forward to welcoming you into our family!
